Get the Ferry app

Download APK

Open the Chrome menu ⋮ at the top right.
Tap Install app or Add to Home screen.

Once installed, Ferry opens from your home screen like any other app.

Open this page in Safari. Other browsers cannot add apps to the Home Screen.
Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen.
Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
Tap Add. Ferry now sits on your Home Screen.

Apple only lets apps install from the App Store, so Add to Home Screen is how Ferry gets onto an iPhone.

What should we call this device?

Nearby devices see this name when you send them files.

Ferry keeps a list of devices that use the service. The owner can see this name, your IP address and basic details about your device: phone model, browser, screen size, language and time zone. Your files are never part of that list.
